Durango - Silverton Narrow Gauge Rail Road

This scenic trip takes passengers through the mountains and the beautiful Animas River Valley. The Train has been in operation for well over one hundred years and is a must for visitors to the area. Trains leave Durango early each morning and head to Silverton CO. Passengers can travel round trip via the train or one way -- Taking a bus or organized Jeep Tour on the return trip to Durango.

Mesa Verde National Park

This awe-inspiring landscape is considered a top historic destination in the Southwest. Take a guided tour, hike the trails, or enjoy a picnic lunch in the homes of the ancient Pueblo Indians.

High Country Elk Adventure

An Elk preserve with Jeep guided tours of the area provides an opportunity to see some of the largest bull elk in the Southwest.

Fly Fishing

Hot Springs

Soak your cares away in a natural hot spring. Trimble is continuously heated and refreshed naturally and is only 7 miles north of Durango.

Biking/Hiking

Rent a mountain or touring bike, and get going! A wonderful trailhead is a stones throw from the Inn. Local guides will help you pick the perfect place for you to explore.
